Valentine’s Day 2027 falls on a Sunday, with Friday, Feb. 12, and Saturday, Feb. 13, the nights before it. The shows already on sale for that week include Asheville Community Theatre’s Come From Away and a five-night Billy Strings run at the downtown arena. City dances and Valentine’s classes come out in January. Restaurant menus are added here only when the restaurant posts them.

Shows and concerts

Come From Away, Asheville Community Theatre. The musical runs Feb. 5-21, 2027, on the ACT Mainstage, 35 E. Walnut St., with shows Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m., according to ACT. That puts a 7:30 p.m. show on Saturday, Feb. 13, and a 2:30 p.m. matinee on Valentine’s Day itself. Box office: 828-254-1320.

Five shows on Thursday, Feb. 4; Friday, Feb. 5; Saturday, Feb. 6; Monday, Feb. 8; and Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2027, at Harrah’s Cherokee Center Asheville, 87 Haywood St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and shows start at 7:30 p.m.; everyone 2 and older needs a ticket, according to the arena.

A Valentine’s race nearby

The Valentine Greenway Challenge 5K is in Black Mountain, about 13 miles east. Black Mountain Recreation and Parks and the Black Mountain Greenways and Trails Committee held the fourth one in 2026, starting near the picnic pavilion at Lake Tomahawk, 401 Laurel Circle Drive. Ice moved the 2026 race to Saturday, Feb. 28, according to its registration page. The 2027 date is not posted yet.

Valentine’s Day is not a city holiday: trash pickup, buses and city offices run as normal on Friday, Feb. 12. Monday, Feb. 15, 2027, is Presidents Day; the city’s 2026 schedule kept sanitation running on Presidents Day.
