Outdoor tables in Asheville are spread across the city. Downtown and the South Slope have Mellow Mushroom, Asheville Pizza and Brewing on Coxe Avenue and Ben’s Tune Up; Merrimon Avenue in North Asheville has Vinnie’s and Asheville Pizza and Brewing’s North Asheville pub; Haywood Road has Universal Joint and Odd’s Cafe; and Taco Boy and Five Guys cover South Asheville.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Asheville’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 12, 2026. A place is listed only if its own site says it has a patio, outdoor seating or a beer garden; an outdoor seating tag in the map data is not enough. We added Ben’s Tune Up, Odd’s Cafe and Universal Joint from their own sites. We left out Regina’s Westside, whose site says it has permanently closed; Village Wayside, which says it has moved to Grovewood Road; 12 Bones, whose site gives an Arden address; and places whose sites would not load for us. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.

All Day Darling in Montford lists indoor and patio seating on its site and invites guests to eat outside on the patio.

Asheville Pizza and Brewing has two Asheville pubs. The downtown pub on Coxe Avenue invites diners onto its pet-friendly patio, and the Merrimon Avenue pub, which also has movie theaters, lists dine-in, carry-out and patio seating.

Ben’s Tune Up is a former South Slope auto shop with a sake brewery, an Asian fusion kitchen and a beer garden, and it welcomes dogs.

Five Guys on Hendersonville Road lists outdoor seating among its services.

Mellow Mushroom on Broadway downtown lists a patio and a private room on its location page.

Odd’s Cafe on Haywood Road is a coffee shop with a glass garage door and an enclosed patio.

RendezVous on New Haw Creek Road in East Asheville is a French bistro with indoor and outdoor seating, outdoor dining in what it calls its barn, and petanque courts.

Taco Boy Biltmore Park has a sunroom with retractable doors that open to its patio on Town Square Boulevard.

Universal Joint on Haywood Road serves burgers in a converted garage with a covered, dog-friendly patio.

Vinnie’s Italian on Merrimon Avenue offers indoor dining, patio dining and extended outdoor seating and does not take reservations. Its hours change by season.
