13 Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants inside Asheville city limits: downtown, Tunnel Road, Merrimon Avenue, Patton Avenue, Haywood Road and Biltmore Park.

Last checked Oct. 12, 2026. Refreshed every three months.

Asheville’s Mexican restaurants cluster downtown (Mountain Madre, White Duck Taco Shop and Mamacita’s), along Tunnel Road in East Asheville (Papa’s and Beer, Chili’s, Moe’s and Taco Bell) and on Merrimon Avenue in North Asheville (Mountain Madre North and Moe’s). There are taco shops on Haywood Road and in Biltmore Park, and a Chipotle on Patton Avenue.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Asheville’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 12, 2026. We added the second Moe’s and Mountain Madre’s downtown restaurant from those chains’ own location pages, and Taco Boy from its own site. We left out Casa Torres, whose own site gives a Rockwood Road address outside the city, White Duck’s Skyland shop in Arden, and places whose websites would not load for us (The Cantina at Biltmore Village, Limones and several listings with no site). The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.
