Last checked Oct. 12, 2026. Refreshed every three months.
Asheville’s burger places are spread across the city. Downtown has Baby Bull near the River Arts District and Pack’s Tavern on Pack Square; Haywood Road has Universal Joint; and Hendersonville Road in South Asheville has Juicy Lucy’s and Five Guys, with Hickory Tavern nearby in Biltmore Park. The Madness is on Merrimon Avenue and The Social on Tunnel Road.
How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Asheville’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 12, 2026. We added Hickory Tavern and Pack’s Tavern because their own menus list burgers at an Asheville address. We left out chains whose location pages would not load for us (McDonald’s, Burger King, Hardee’s and Farm Burger), Sonic and Dairy Queen, whose own pages give Candler and Arden addresses, and listings with no website. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.
