Breakfast in Asheville is strongest on Haywood Road in West Asheville, where Sunny Point Cafe, Biscuit Head, Early Girl Eatery, Odd’s Cafe, Hole Doughnuts and the West End all sit within about a mile of each other. Downtown has Early Girl on Wall Street, Green Sage and High Five on Broadway, and Montford’s All Day Darling is a short walk away. South Asheville’s options run along Hendersonville Road.
How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Asheville’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 12, 2026. We added second and third locations from each business’s own site (Biscuit Head, Early Girl, Green Sage and High Five). We left out Regina’s Westside, whose site says it has permanently closed, and places whose sites were taken over by unrelated pages or would not load for us. Several sites show only today’s hours; those say “not posted in full.” The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? The places
All Day Darling in Montford serves one all-day menu, from breakfast sandwiches and a fried chicken biscuit to coffee and smoothies, with indoor and patio seating, its site says.
Biscuit Head has three Asheville locations, near Mission Hospital on Biltmore Avenue, on Haywood Road and on Hendersonville Road. Its menu is built around buttermilk biscuits with gravies, fried chicken and fried green tomatoes; gluten-free biscuits are offered.
Double D’s Coffee & Desserts serves coffee and desserts from a bus on Biltmore Avenue downtown. Its site sends visitors to Google for current hours.
Early Girl Eatery has restaurants on Wall Street downtown, Haywood Road and Hendersonville Road. Its site describes scratch-made buttermilk biscuits and biscuit French toast with ingredients from local farms.
Green Sage Cafe has three locations: Broadway downtown, Merrimon Avenue and Hendersonville Road. Its site showed 8 a.m. openings when we checked but does not list full weekly hours.
High Five Coffee has two downtown cafes, on Broadway and on Rankin Avenue, both open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. A third location is on Riverside Drive.
Hole Doughnuts on Haywood Road, near the French Broad River, sells doughnuts and coffee and takes phone orders for pickup during business hours.
IHOP on Smokey Park Highway in West Asheville serves pancakes, omelets and waffles, with takeout and delivery.
Jersey South Bagel Company on Regent Park Boulevard is open four days a week, Friday to Monday, its ordering site says.
Joey’s Bagels on Merrimon Avenue makes New York-style bagels and lists a second Asheville shop at 509 Biltmore Ave.
Odd’s Cafe on Haywood Road is a coffee shop with a glass garage door and an enclosed patio, open every day.
Round Earth Roasters on Hendersonville Road is a coffee roaster and cafe; its site lists coffee, espresso and pastries.
Sunny Point Cafe on Haywood Road is a family-owned restaurant serving breakfast and lunch every day. Its site says takeout orders are not taken on Saturday and Sunday.
The West End on Haywood Road serves breakfast, lunch and pastries baked daily in its cafe.
Waffle House on Smokey Park Highway is open around the clock, its location page says.
